Flatforms!
It’s a flat..
It’s a platform…
It’s a FLATFORM!!!
Now you don’t have to choose between two of the most delicious shoe styles.
The best part- comfortable as a flat but with the height of a heel as well as double the cuteness.

A Penny for Your Thoughts
Think penny loafers are just for an old-fashioned prep school look? Think again! These babies are definitely tomboy-chic, but they can be worn with just about anything. Especially now that they are popping up in such great colors! My current favorite is this sunny yellow Born we have at Pedx (also comes in a natural tan), which is perfect for this dreamy spring outfit:

Paired with one of the new leafy-hued Hobo wallets, as well as a Town & Reese ring, Minoux necklace, and Viv & Ingrid posts!

New Neon
You can’t deny that neon is having a “moment” right now, that much is true. But this ain’t your 90s neon! Pairing your favorite day-glo shade with more subdued hue is very modern and flattering. So pick a shade you’ve been scared to try, and style it with a neutral; play around with different combos, like crisp white and hot pink, bright blue and black, or (my favorite) stone gray and neon yellow.

Here are a few of my favorites, straight from the shop!
Sandal: Camper 21624, Scarf: Echo Design, Vegan Bag + Wallet: Shiraleah.
What do you think of neon, readers? Are you loud and proud?

Put a Ring on It!
Or maybe two or five! Rings are such a classy way to jazz up an outfit, or give your fingers some flare. I love rings, but I always find it a struggle to know how many is too many and if they match or not. I don’t want to look like the girl who woke up and decided to wear ALL her jewelry. Well my friends, after extensive trial and error process, I believe I have found the guidelines to ring wearing!
If you want to go with the simple and always classic understated look, then one or two rings will be good for you. Try layering 2 rings on one finger, or 1 on each hand.
If you prefer a lot of finger bling then I recommend wearing rings on up to five fingers out of the ten. Maybe 2 on one hand and 3 on the other. Anymore than five fingers and your hand might start to look a little bionic… (maybe similar to Beyonce’s hand in her Single Ladies video)
When I say five, I don’t mean five rings total. Layering is way amazing with rings, one of my fav. things to do! So maybe layer a couple thin rings together.
It’s also super sexy to mix metals and colors, but I like to choose one base color that is in every ring. With my picture example, I chose gold, they all have a little gold in them even though there are also other colors. It brings cohesion to your hand.
Your hands deserve to look fabulous too, they work really hard.

The Roaring 2012s
The Art Deco movement has always been a favorite of mine- well, ever since I knew what that meant, anyway. It is a style of art and design that began in the 20s where most things do: Paris. Characterized by modern functionality, linear symmetry, chevron shapes, and sunbursts. Imagine how pleased I was when these beauties from Indigo were delivered:
The T-straps are like little Eiffel Towers! Très chic! And so easy to style in a modern, minimalist way, to let the shoes do the talking, or play up the Roaring-20s vibe with a drop waist dress and deep red wine lips. However you choose to wear them, I promise they’re comfortable enough to do the Charleston all night in!

Sally
