A Penny for Your Thoughts
Think penny loafers are just for an old-fashioned prep school look? Think again! These babies are definitely tomboy-chic, but they can be worn with just about anything. A Rainbow of Shoes
Spring is here! At least for your feet it is… the weather will catch up at some point. When it is really grey and dreary outside, I like to wear a lot of neon colors in order to brighten up the day. I also like to shop to brighten up my day. Why not do both? PedX has a delightful rainbow of shoes for all your color needs or maybe just your color wants, either way, TOTALLY WORTH IT.

New Neon
You can’t deny that neon is having a “moment” right now, that much is true. But this ain’t your 90s neon! Pairing your favorite day-glo shade with more subdued hue is very modern and flattering. So pick a shade you’ve been scared to try, and style it with a neutral; play around with different combos, like crisp white and hot pink, bright blue and black, or (my favorite) stone gray and neon yellow.

Daydreaming
Sometimes I daydream about a life where I’m not a single mother of two boys side-stepping legos and dodging nerf darts… and I’m wearing these. In a big old 1950s convertible with oversize sunglasses and a scarf tied around my neck. And as much as smoking is uncool - I am, with a long cigarette holder of course.
Sigh…

Shoe Crew, Vegas Style: Fiel!
We’re back with another sweet vid from our trip to Vegas! We stopped by the Fiel booth to stock up on some gorgeous goodies and ended up being completely charmed by designer Alice Gu- ain’t she great? We’re really stoked to start carrying Fiel this spring, and that we coaxed Alice on camera to talk about her favorites for fall (all of which will be in soonish!) Thanks for hanging out with us, and for showing us the way of the pony hair!

Tuesday Tip: Mismatched Mayhem
Remember the old fashioned adages which dictated that handbags, shoes, and belts should match? Toss it. Matching is so 20th century!
It all started with my boots (doesn’t it always?) and the absence of a black boot in my wardrobe. I wear a lot of black and thought that was the only proper color for my footwear as well. Then I was talked into a pair of Frye boots (shown) in a simply delicious redwood color. I have a hard time taking them off my feet and not nearly enough clothes to “match” them. So I was forced to shun the “matchy matchy” look I had embraced for so many years. And guess what? I shall match nevermore.
I’ve had a tendency as of late, to dress in dark colors. A bright-colored pair of tights, or perhaps a stripy number, takes this look from blah to wow! And we still have a great assortment of tights from Happy Socks, MP, and SmartWool.
Give it a try! Combine colors you would never have thought of together - mixing things up allows for so many more options in your closet. Let me know how it goes!
